We are very proud to introduce you to a new face here at the Bike Inn.
Martin Foreman joined the Bike Inn family in July as both a tutor and a mechanic for our sister company Helmwind Cycles. As a previous Bike Inn graduate, Martin has gone on to become a highly regarded technician. He has finely honed diagnostic instincts and a dogged ‘I’m-not-stopping-until-I’ve-fixed-this’ work ethic.
Any competing triathletes may have already met Martin on the GB Age Group Triathlon circuit, as he also works in conjunction with Nirvana Europe providing mechanical support to the teams as they travel internationally. Unfortunately Covid-19 has severely curbed his travel plans for this year – but this has meant that he has had more time to get involved with the recent evolution and improvements we’re making here at the training centre. He has already proved himself an invaluable member of the team.
Martin’s technical support work has also seen him support UK events such as Ride Across Britain, Lap of Anglia, Prudential RideLondon, the Etape du Dales and the Blue Marine Foundation London to Monaco ride.
When not building, fixing or servicing bikes, or training others to do the same, Martin is himself an avid cyclist (of course!) with two bikes: an ORRO Terra C, and an Invictus Steel 29er. He enjoys the challenges of tough terrains and steep climbs – and we certainly have plenty of those around here! Do stop and say hello if you see him out and about on the fells.
Martin is proof-positive that great things can come from following your passions and turning your hobby into a business opportunity and a way of life. He joins dozens of other Bike Inn past pupils who have invested in themselves, worked hard to gain accredited qualifications, and gone on to earn a living doing what they love.
If you would like to find out more about the courses we run, the qualifications we offer, and how these can help you find a new direction, please pick up the phone and chat to a member of the team, or contact us here.
